The Type 8202 transmitter is a compact device for measuring the pH value in clean, dirty, sulphide or protein-containing liquids or for measuring the redox potential value (ORP) in clean, dirty, sulphide or protein-containing liquids as well as liquids that have a low conductivity. The design of the measuring device simplifies installation and maintenance work.
The Type 8202 device is available in two variants. The first, the so-called ELEMENT Standard, is offered with either three adjustable outputs (two digital outputs and one analog output) or with four adjustable outputs (two digital outputs and two analog outputs) and can be equipped with a display. The display is only required for commissioning, configuration (e.g. selection of pH/ORP measurement, measuring range, units, calibration, limit values) and for process value display. The second variant, the so-called ELEMENT neutrino, is a 2-wire device without a display, equipped either with a 4–20 mA current output or with a digital communication mode via IO-Link or büS (Bürkert system bus based on CANopen).
The Type 8202 device converts the measurement signal and calculates the output signals, which are available via one or two M12 connector connections in the ELEMENT standard variant or via an M12 connector connection in the ELEMENT neutrino variant or on a terminal strip via a cable gland. In the ELEMENT standard version, the device displays different values in different measuring units (if a display is mounted).
